Ageing with Attitude

This documentary explores ways that people can age in place and how they can gather together in the community to help each other.

The aim of this documentary is to challenge preconceptions about what it means to be an older member of the community, and to challenge the ways that our society interacts with its older members.

The documentary will follow the Clunes elders over a year as they think through ways that they can reimagine the ageing process means. This process is purposely fluid to allow for the ideas to emerge rather than be pre-set.

The documentary is being made will the full co-operation of the Attitude organisation in Clunes and we aim to be inclusive of the members of Attitude (their senior citizens organisation) in the filming and formation of the documentary.

We are not interested in the viewers taking ‘action’ per se, instead we are interested in them being better informed and more able to use critical thinking to analyse information. Specific points of ‘action’ will emerge as the filming process continues, and those being filmed think through ways to challenge existing ideas of ageing.
