Samantha Kwan is a versatile producer and editor based in Naarm/Melbourne. With an eye for visually-compelling imagery and a do-it-yourself mentality, she seeks to help others communicate their stories across borders and languages, striving to bring more diverse representation on screens. She recently line-produced the documentary, The Search For The Palace Letters (ABC TV 2024) and worked as an associate producer on the Mushroom 50 Live Broadcast (Seven Network 2023). Sam was also a recipient of VicScreen’s Key Talent Placement in 2022 and completed a Screen-Australia-supported producer’s attachment on Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story (MIFF 2023). The previous project she produced and edited, Mother Tongue, enjoyed a successful film festival run, taking home “Best Next Gen Film” at 2021 Melbourne’s Women in Film Festival, “Best Emerging” at 2021 Setting Sun Film Festival and is now streaming on SBS On Demand.
