Boris, the son of a Count, knew he was in danger before his brother answered the door and was shot dead. But as he hid centimetres from the body, he knew he needed to disappear entirely. His story will be told by his descendants, in which he flees 1920s Russia, survives Nazi capture, endures Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, and winds up in Australia.
Gideon Adams has been a student of the Ranges Academy of Performing Arts since 2019 and has since become a board member and mentor within the organisation. They were accepted into the Film and Television (Honours) course at Swinburne University of Technology at the beginning of 2022. In 2022, Gideon also accepted a place on the student jury panel for the Lantern and Light International Children’s Film Festival, a position they returned to in 2023. Their works include ‘Great Again’ (2021), ‘Saturation’ (2022) and ‘NarroWing’ (2022) which was screened in The Lantern and Light International Children’s Film Festival in 2022 and MINA Smartphone Film Festival in 2024. In 2023, they co-edited ‘Cornerstone of Melbourne’ which was officially selected for the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival in 2024 and screened on the opening night. Recently, they directed ‘Under the Honey Light’ (2024) in collaboration with RAPA which premiered as part of the International Children’s Film Festival.
