The Climate Keepers is a documentary about the art of weather observation and those who dedicate their lives to it. The Climate Keepers are the custodians of the world’s last weather stations staffed by human observers. With the rise of computer, satellite and automated weather stations, the art of human weather observation is declining.
Joining scientists and local climate keepers throughout key areas of the world, this series aims to unlock the records and anthropological data documented by traditional owners and ancestors throughout the world over the last few hundred years that demonstrates how they have kept records on weather patterns and also the changes they have noticed.
With support from scientists around the world, we will bring the rich history and themes together from Antarctica to Norway, Australia to Peru – there’s 12 locations worldwide and the most insightful climate keepers who are prepared to share their ancestral knowledge with the world.
Backed by an international award-winning team of producers and documentarians including NIgel Lopez McBean, Sabella Sugar, Wayne Quiliam, Laura A’Bell and more, we would like to exclusively invite you to be part of this project by considering our Partnership Packages which will assist in getting this important series completed.
