How might a King, a scientist and a First Nations marine diver work together to bring nature back to balance on the Great Barrier Reef?
Co creator David Cook, is an accomplished First Nations drama actor and emerging writer and director, who stars in his own production Heart Of The Man which was released in Feb, 2024. Written and directed by David, the deeply personal coming -of –age drama follows the story of Chris Wundurra, a rising amateur boxer torn between pleasing his own father & following his heart. In 2023, David Cook also co –directed First Nations short documentary- Skate Or Cry. His team received an Honourary Mention for Best Documentary short at the prestigious US film festival’s Los Angeles Film Awards. The lead actor, Tia Pitman, taking out the Most Inspiring Woman in Film category. Skate or Cry has been officially selected for the Heart of Gold International and Los Angeles Film festivals. David also runs immersive acting and writing courses through his company New Dream Productions in Brisbane. David’s acting TV and Film credits include; Heart Of The Man, Troppo, Darby & Joan & The Lost One.
