ANZAC. LEMNOS. 1915. releasing on SBS
Last week we celebrated the release of ANZAC. LEMNOS. 1915. Many Australians know of Gallipoli but few know of Lemnos. For the first time, with rare photo archives and compelling personal accounts, this unique documentary explores a little-known setting during WWI that was crucial in the shaping of Australia’s modern identity.
This documentary will be broadcast publicly for the first time on Anzac Day 2024 on SBS.
ANZAC. LEMNOS. 1915. has also been submitted for consideration at the Beyond Borders 9th Kastellorizo International Film Festival, taking place in Greece this August. Beyond Borders collaborates annually with a Country of Honour. This year, the selected country of honour is Australia, with Documentary Australia CEO Dr Mitzi Goldman attending as President of the Jury. Learn more about the festival and our involvement here.
