Announcing ACMI Partnership

We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with ACMI in Melbourne! Together, we will focus on storytelling to amplify voices, spark connections and inspire change through events, screenings and more.

"This collaboration is more than just a union of two organisations - it's a fusion of passion, creativity, and purpose. We're so excited to have a new home-away-from-home in Federation Square!" - Dr Mitzi Goldman, Documentary Australia CEO

As Australia’s museum of screen culture, ACMI will provide a space for Documentary Australia’s industry events, as well as screenings for partners and supporters in Victoria.

"This partnership will enable ACMI and Documentary Australia to deliver events and film screenings that draw on our shared interests of storytelling, impact filmmaking and community-building. Visible breakthrough moments are so important for our screen practitioners and this collaboration will lay the foundations for more of these to be celebrated at Australia's home of screen culture." - Seb Chan, ACMI Director & CEO

From its inception as the State Film Centre of Victoria in the 1940’s to its reincarnation as the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, ACMI is now Australia’s national museum of film, TV, videogames, digital culture and art.

In the context of the ubiquity, fluidity, portability and shareability of moving image culture, ACMI is offering: curated quality onsite and online experiences and networks; support for production and creation; a safe and dynamic space for diverse perspectives and voices; and a rich outward-facing moving image archive.
