Stories that work is a day of showcasing the impact stories can make by unpacking great campaigns, discovering bold new projects and connecting our community of filmmakers donors, impact partners and advocates.
We are proud to welcome 27 new projects to the Documentary Australia family! This wide range of documentaries exemplify the diversity of impact documentaries across our seven impact areas.
HUMAN RIGHTS & SOCIAL JUSTICE 
Every day across the world over 44,000 people are forcefully displaced - That is one person every two seconds that is pushed to flee their home due to violence, persecution or lack of access to the most basic of human needs like water and food.
Documentary Australia is honoured to recognise and support Australian documentaries at the Sydney Film Festival. These are important stories that delve into on-going social issues, to educate and incite change.
YOUTH & EDUCATION 
Documentary Australia had the pleasure of hosting a night to shine a light on Catherine Scott’s Backtrack Boys, an award-winning documentary shifting views on young people doing it tough.
First launched in 2016, SheDoc is a Documentary Australia Foundation initiative to support female documentary filmmakers, proudly supported by Create NSW and RØDE Microphones.
