In order to raise funds for the ENVIRONMENTART STORES project, we organized a screening event. “Films in the forest” is an inspiring and impactful film night event held in the Starlight Hall, inmersed in the sacred rainforest of the Sunshine Coast a.k.a Kabi Kabi Country, Queensland. Attendees will enjoy watching short films centered around environmental, forest, ocean, nature-related topics. Through a collection of thought-provoking short films and an engaging Q&A session, the screening night aims to inspire positive action, promote ecological consciousness, and to raise crucial funds to support the completion of the documentary project “EnvironmentArt Stories”, rooted in values of environmental stewardship and creative storytelling. The event welcomes the local community, environmentalists, filmmakers, artists, students, and individuals of all ages. Participation from First Nations and Torres Strait Islanders representatives is encouraged. The event fosters community engagement, raising awareness about the urgent need to protect native forests, ocean health status and promoting ecological consciousness.
Screening
The heart of the event lies in showcasing a carefully curated selection of 3 to 5 short films, including documentaries and animations, that passionately depict forest-related themes. Through compelling storytelling and captivating visuals, the films will inspire attendees to connect with nature and recognize the urgency of preserving our precious forests.
Fundraising
Our screening night event is a dedicated effort to secure funds for the completion of our documentary, “EnvironmentArt Stories,” which embodies the mission of amplifying ecological consciousness. Simultaneously, we are committed to giving back to the environment by considering the donation of a portion of proceeds to a reputable environmental organization. This two-fold approach encapsulates our commitment to both the success of our documentary and broader environmental impact.
