The Influencers follows four Australian men — Glen Fisher, Danny Shannon, Gaz Wright, and Jeff Morgan — whose lives have been marked by trauma, addiction, and violence, yet who have each transformed their pain into purpose. Their stories converge in a powerful exploration of redemption, resilience, and the unexpected ways influence can heal rather than harm.
Coming from an abusive childhood Glen Fisher found himself living on the streets of Sydney’s King Cross at the age of 14. Glen spent decades trapped in abuse, violence, addiction, and incarceration before emerging as an outspoken advocate for the homeless, mental health and trauma recovery. His memoir Predator’s Paradise and online presence as Tiger4Life have made him a raw, unfiltered voice for those breaking cycles of abuse and addiction.
Danny Shannon lived the life of a criminal, addicted to ice and heroin and in and out of prison. He doesn’t remember a particular “rock bottom” because for 10 years it was all bad. Addicted to ice and heroin and he was in and out of jail for drug-related offences. Danny stole cars, broke into houses, and got chased by police and in his most epic chase of all, he escaped from Sydney’s Silverwater prison, and made it all the way to Perth. He is now a symbol of hope for so many people going through exactly what he did.
Gaz Wright was a career criminal, drug addict and in and out of the prison system from a young age. After beating a large sentence, Gaz’s life spiralled out of control into a massive 4 year rampage fuelled by drugs.
After becoming sober he found solace in helping others, including the youth talking about his past regrets through social media. He is now the owner of Hope Cartel, a brand focused on “9D breathwork” sessions designed for healing and personal transformation. He describes himself as a “Professional Hope Dealer”.
Jeff Morgan is a Gamilaraay man and former bank robber from Redfern, Sydney, who transformed his life after spending 18 years in maximum-security prisons. Growing up in Redfern he was homeless by age 12, leading to a life of crime, including car theft and bank robberies. He is now a renowned mindset coach, author, and founder of the Mindset Heist Academy, delivering health and wellbeing programs globally.
Through intimate interviews and vérité-style observation, The Influencers moves fluidly between their turbulent pasts and their purposeful presents. It reveals how change doesn’t come in a single moment of redemption but through daily acts of courage, accountability, and service — and how one man’s recovery can spark a movement that uplifts an entire community.
