For those women who wish to pursue a goal so big you need to ask for help, hold on, it’s a wild ride, but it’s worth every moment. May every challenge help you develop your faith, may the depths you have to journey within yourself be healed. May the contentment you feel as your head hits the pillow each day remind you that a courageous life does not always feel easy but it will be rewarding.

This venture is not just for me, it’s for women. For the new Mums’ who want to know there is more to life for themselves after becoming a Mum, by seeing it done by another Mother. For the girls who need to see a culture that has gone before them so they too can see what is possible for them. For the girls who think their fears are personal, they can see they are not. For the men who have always accepted women in the surf, they can feel prouder because they have seen a woman live her dreams out there. It’s a shared experience that will touch hearts and inspire collective change. I know this because when I met another woman who has pioneered her dream life, she inspired me. It’s a journey that feels collaborative between women and men, each in our strengths and honouring our importance. It’s a celebration of women in the surf and possibly more importantly, giving women the confidence to reignite their lifelong dreams and complete them.

I’ve learnt the benefits of emotional maturity and through 25 years of bodyboarding I’ve learnt that it takes emotional maturity to support women in the surf. We need to feel like we are valued out there. I personally need to feel valued for my experience as men have long since been welcomed and feel safe to venture to most places. I am yearning, like most women, for line ups where it feels respectful and accepting, exactly as we are.

This documentary will help create the equity for women to pursue their dreams, to practise their skills, to hone their craft and to ask for help with their own dreams.
It will create an increased demand for services such as community clubs, coaching services, medical services, community support services, women’s health organisations.

This documentary will also be a valuable asset to global tourism to encourage conservation/ mindful usage of local environments.

This documentary is a homecoming to my heart, to live from a space of purity and this will create radical change in the hearts and minds of people all around the world in our homes so that women can finally say proudly; we belong here in the waves too. I feel welcomed, I feel seen, heard and appreciated because I wanted it, I prepared to be here and I got myself here.
