Sharing the stories of these counter-culture heroines will reframe and shine a light on a hidden alternative Australian cultural history, spanning artistic innovation and resilience, music, LGBTQI+ history, AIDS & anti police corruption activism, single motherhood, forced adoptions, feminism, and social and media bias.

Audiences will be moved, enlightened and inspired by the reframed stories of these cultural heroines. The experiences and impacts of these and other women will be recontextualised and audiences will be encouraged to share their stories.

+Short Term:
This docuseries seeks to create awareness of and deeper appreciation for the subjects – and to stimulate discussion and attitude shifts from their reframed stories.
Audiences will be inspired to reflect on the power of self-invention and creativity, and feel empowered to investigate it themselves.
+Medium Term:
Lovers Dreamers Fighters study guides and teaching resources for high schools will be created.
Awareness of the subjects and their stories and impact will continue to grow from strong word of mouth marketing.

Teaching resources and study guides are actively in use in high schools to engage students and encourage discussion of women’s history and creativity.

I have an existing passionate niche audience of book readers that will be excited to see this docuseries and will share and recommend.
The book has really resonated with young adults who have not previously heard of the people I have written about and also with older people who know, love or recognise the names.
I also have an established niche audience for my music that will be interested to see what else I have created. There is overlap between my book readers and music listeners but they also remain distinct.
Older audiences will be drawn to the project through the names they know.
Audiences with an interest in arts, feminism, LGBTQI+ studies, activism and social history will be intrigued.
Partnering with an impact producer and a study guides producer such as ATOM to create educational resources will provide access to young people.
Screening the series on a streaming platform will provide added access and exposure to a wide audience, via word of mouth recommendations…
