Sina Summers

Sina is an emerging independent film maker with a central focus on bringing social issues to audiences. Over the last decade, Sina has worked with people using a variety of storytelling practices, these include, radio broadcasting, writing and films. Sina produced an award winning feature program on SBS Radio and on community radio stations across Australia. Sina was commissioned as a ghost writer by an Aboriginal organisation to record 12 Indigenous elders life stories. This book was published in 2023, just after the devastating Referendum. Sina also has academic papers with The Human Rights Commission. Sina works with people ethically and sensitively, enabling stories to be told, sometimes for the first time. Topics Sina has covered in film are: How AI is effecting traditional news, and impacting on our democracy, how social media impacts teens, and how 5 young adults overcame mental health issues and loneliness. She has masters degrees in social science and in communication.
