My name is Nazanin. I am an Iranian-Australian artist, storyteller, and community advocate based in Sydney. As a refugee and one of the sitters in the Collective Threads exhibition, I am passionate about amplifying the voices of women and migrants through art and film. My creative work explores identity, resilience, and belonging, using storytelling to challenge stereotypes and foster empathy.
I have worked with organisations supporting refugee women, such as The Social Outfit, helping empower women through creative and professional opportunities. I am actively involved in community initiatives for refugees, women’s rights, and cultural diversity. My goal is to spark meaningful conversations, celebrate resilience, and help build a more inclusive Australia.
