Anthony produced, directed, co-wrote, and starred in the thriller Gold (2022), starring Zac Efron which saw him nominated for the Golden Frog for Best Director at Camerimage 2022.

The film earned nominations for Best Independent Film (Saturn Awards), Best Oceanic Film (Septimus Awards), Best Cinematography (Camerimage), Best Makeup (AACTA), Best Sound (ASG), acting honours for Hayes (Best Supporting Actor, FCCA) and Efron (Best Actor, FCCA). It sold to all territories in the world and is currently playing on HULU, STAN, AMAZON PRIME and other platforms across the globe.

His earlier work includes short feature New Skin (IF Award for Best New Director, Best film Sydney Film Festival – Fiction over 15 mins), Sweet Dreams, (Audience Award St Kilda Film Festival) as well as the feature Ten Empty which saw him nominated for Victorian and Qld premier’s literary award for best screenplay, the film had its world premiere at Sydney Film Festival and was distributed by ICON.
