These moving but optimistic portraits reveal the struggles these women face, and lay bare the flaws in our society, as well as our economic fragility in the modern world.
Sue is passionate about human rights and gender equality and looks for projects that give voice to marginalised people and communities. Sue worked on the first Public Television Broadcasts in Melbourne and went on to produce the Melbourne International Comedy Festival GALA’s for Network 7 & 9. She produced the Comedy Film Festival for FOXTEL and
directed the documentary Class Clowns for Network Ten.
Sue wrote, directed & produced the ABC docu/drama Boys and Balls with Roy & HG. This opened Sydney Film Festival and had a six week theatrical release in Melbourne and Sydney. For ABC Sue directed The Fifth Set and The Last Great Amateurs starring Magda Szubanski.
Sue wrote, produced and directed Tempest at the Drop-in, the feature documentary about a group of people with serious mental health issues. Narrated by Eric Bana the film screened on ABCTV many times. The documentary Talking Turkey followed. In 2017 and 2019 Sue
Executive Produced The Comedy Roadshow Series for SBS TV and Deadly Funny for SBS2.
Sue produced and directed, The Coming Back Out Ball Movie, which closed the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) 2018. The film won the popular audience award and had a theatrical season around Australia.
