Climate Changers to screen at Better Futures Forum 2024
Documentary Australia is working with the Better Futures Forum to co-present a special screening of the Environmental Accelerator film Climate Changers.
Documentary Australia is working with the Better Futures Forum, Australia’s largest multi-sectoral forum on climate, to co-present a special screening of the Environmental Accelerator film Climate Changers at this year’s event. The forum will take place in Canberra from 10-11 September and brings together industry, community and government to drive climate action and create climate-resilient futures.
By gathering a diverse range of stakeholders, the Better Futures Forum aims to catalyse significant advancements in Australia’s climate policies and targets and develop actionable strategies to address environmental challenges. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in cross-sectoral talks, strategic workshops, meaningful cultural programs, and networking with community, sector leaders and government on crucial climate initiatives.
This year’s program includes a special screening of feature documentary Climate Changers, which follows acclaimed scientist Tim Flannery as he searches for the missing ingredient in our fight against climate change – leadership. Where are the climate leaders who will drive change? How might they succeed where others have failed? Flannery poses these questions as he meets global leaders from the corridors of power and frontlines of climate change.
The screening will be introduced by Documentary Australia’s Impact Director and Environmental Accelerator program lead Stephanie King, in addition to Climate Changers’ director Johan Gabrielsson and writer-producer Mark Forstmann.
Climate Changers’ participants Tim Flannery, Tishiko King, Ray Minniecon and Matt Kean will speak in various sessions across the forum.
Join us for the Better Futures Forum and this special screening of Climate Changers to learn and contribute to discussions that will shape Australia’s response to the climate crisis.
