Shonee Samia is a producer, actor, stunt performer and founder of Mana Film Productions. A Māori and Samoan storyteller based on the Gold Coast, she creates stories that explore identity, belonging, culture and human connection. After beginning her career as a game developer with Electronic Arts, contributing to award-winning titles including “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” and “Battlefield,” Shonee transitioned into film and television to pursue her passion for storytelling and social impact. Her producing work spans scripted and short-form content, championing stories that foster connection, representation and positive change. She has worked on features that have been showcased at the Festival de Cannes through the Queer Screen #GoesToCannes initiative in 2024, alongside productions supported by Screen Australia and Screen Queensland. Named Queensland Screen Professional of the Year in 2026, Shonee is committed to creating authentic stories that inspire change.
