Dr. Bob, inspired by Phil Ochs and Oksana Shachko, celebrates their courage and commitment to social justice, aiming to inspire others in the same way. Born in New York City, Dr. Bob still carries his accent despite being an Australian citizen.
He pursued clinical psychology, starting in 1981. Later, Dr. Bob earned a law degree to advocate more powerfully for youth and influence public policy. Since 2009, he has provided psychology and mediation services through The Parenting Centre and offers pro bono legal support for children.
At 74 years of age, death is frequently at the forefront of his thoughts, a fear that would make him vomit as a child. In Oksana & Bob, he faces this fear head-on as he travels into an active war zone, and attempts to prevent the legacy of a deceased activist, Oksana.
