Nadine Torney is an impact-driven producer, writer and director with experience across documentary, international development, advocacy, partnerships and political strategy.
Her work focuses on community-led stories that centre women, First Nations communities and underrepresented voices. She produced the TEDx film Transitions, has led creative partnerships with SXSW and Apple, and is currently producing Koala Rescuers, following WIRES volunteers working to protect Sydney’s last wild koalas.
Nadine serves as Chair of Women in Film and Television Australia NSW and is a member of the Global Impact Producers Alliance.
She previously worked as Policy and Media Advisor for The Australian Greens, studied Health and Behavioural Sciences specialising in Indigenous Health, studied documentary at AFTRS, and was selected for the Leading Lights program at AIDC.
Her approach is grounded in ethical storytelling, cultural consultation, participant care and shared social responsibility.
