Axi Cantelo is a documentary producer whose experience spans advertising, post-production, communications and psychology. Her work is driven by a deep curiosity about human behaviour and a strong instinct for rhythm, emotion and narrative structure. Across commercial and long-form storytelling, she brings a nuanced understanding of character, tone and audience engagement, crafting stories that feel authentic, emotionally resonant and deeply human. Alongside her creative practice, Axi worked as a telephone support worker with WIRE, Women’s Information and Referral Exchange. These conversations deepened her understanding of agency, economic opportunity, self-belief and support, strengthening her commitment to stories that foster empathy and invite audiences to look beyond assumptions. Through an observational and character-driven approach, Axi creates films that reveal the extraordinary within everyday lives, revealing truths that reshape how we see ourselves and one another.
