The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir, is known for its iconic status and advocacy for the rights of Australian LGBTQ+ communities for over thirty years. Through music performance, we meet the community at the centre of a challenging and sensitive debate about the choir’s future. The changing landscape has divided members as discussions have led the choir to decide how to handle its legacy and how to remain progressive. Amidst a major performance, the film celebrates the choirs role as a cultural force that continues to unite voices, challenge prejudice, and amplify diverse identities on the public stage. Through personal testimonies, performance highlights, and archival footage, we witness how a grassroots choir became an enduring force for visibility, pride, and social change.
